Hairdresser saturday jobs for 14 year olds?

Ask around salons in your area if they just want someone on a saturday to sweep up hair, wash hair, make coffee/tea etc. If your interested in training to be a hairdresser when you leave school tell them this and say you'd like to gain salon experience. Some salons may teach you to blow dry and/or set hair after a while and if your lucky might train you up to be a fully qualified hairdresser after you leave school.Hairdresser saturday jobs for 14 year olds?
AS a hairdresser, or as a receptionist? Because if you want to cut hair, no-one will hire you. People need to know that they are in capable hands, and even if you ARE capable, many people assume that 14 year olds are not. I have taken hair cutting courses, but even as a 16 year old, no-one is willing to hire me. Save yourself the trouble and look for a job somewhere else, maybe as a receptionist in a hairdressers for experience.

It's good that you have goals, but you should know that it will be hard, if not impossible, for you to get a job :)Hairdresser saturday jobs for 14 year olds?
